CROWD 2022 begins…

On Thursday 23rd June, the CROWD – international dance exchange 2022 network of partners, artists, residency facilitators and the ‘behind the scenes’ team gathered online to kick off a summer of exchange, discussion and development with a Zoom call led by the CROWD project manager, Francis Christeller (Goethe-Institut London).

During the session we got to know each other a little better and amongst other things, everyone was invited to discuss the question: How do you describe community-engaged dance practice? Here are some of the responses shared on the Jam Board:

Across the coming months, we’ll be inviting our ten artists and the host partners to capture elements of their residencies and share insight into their work and the areas they’re exploring within the realm of community-engaged dance.
